Blue Lake Preschool

My name is Michelle and I am the Director of Blue Lake Preschool. I am thrilled to be part of such a wonderful place and have the opportunity to work with all of the children at the school. I grew up in California where I earned an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelors Degree in Human Development. I moved to Denver in 2000 to open a new childcare center in Highlands Ranch. Shortly after moving, I met my husband and moved to this amazing valley and worked for Early Learning Center in Aspen and Kids First before coming to Blue Lake Preschool in December of 2001. I have worked with all ages of children and have been a director since 1996. I love the challenges and rewards of running a childcare center. My husband, Dave, my son, Hunter, daughter, Natalie, and I live in Glenwood Springs with our dog Fletcher. We enjoy boating, camping, fishing, water skiing, and riding dirt bikes and snowmobiles.

Hello, my name’s Melissa Goodman and I am the assistant director of the Blue Lake Preschool. I currently live in Glenwood with my husband Josh and our little daughter Olivia. I’ve been a teacher in the valley since 2001, teaching third grade at the Carbondale Elementary School, Math at CMC, and substituting at Carbondale Community School. After a brief hiatus from teaching to start a family I found myself wanting to work with children again. This led me to Blue Lake Preschool, working with the Rockin’ Raccoons and eventually accepting the position as assistant director. I’m enjoying my time, Blue Lake, and look forward to every adventure!
